I must say, I wasn't keen on gary playing with level 42. Phil gould was the only man for that. Apart from that, rock on Gary!

Gould w 42 was indeed great, but i'm sure GH is "knockin' 'da bottom outta' that gig" AW...
That line-up, Force Majeure, Featuring Gary Husband, Randy Brecker, Gerry Goodman, Jim Beard, Elliot Mason, Matt Garrison and Arto Tuncboyaciyan sounds like 1 heckuva show...i wonder if "Gerry" is actually "Jerry" [typo?], as in Mahavishnu violinist, or simply some other English cat named Gerry...
...too bad they can't tour what i "affectionately" like to call the [somewhat, remarkably] @#$%&! "jazz-fusion impaired" States...

I went to the Morecambe gig and it was great, although the music was a bit to free for my liking, to see the guys play was an experience. If I had the option I would have posted my photos up with Gary and Matthew Garrison.

I agree, as much as I really dig Gary's fusion/jazz playing, Phil Gould fits in Level 42 better. I have the Live Level 42 with Gary on it, don't get me wrong, he plays GREAT. Nice cymbal work with his splashes, solid rock chops.
Go and listen to a sample of Phil Gould's playing on "Lessons in Love" from the Running in the Family album at Amazon. Click Here and scroll down a little. That's an awesome open Hi-Hat groove (a la Porcaro), and not that easily mastered either. You gotta open the Hi-Hat quickly enough (heel-up) on the Upbeat to make the splash groove consistently. I love that groove...
